Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, Farshad Faraji, a Kurdish citizen from Tekab County, was arrested by security forces and transferred to Miandoab Central Prison to serve his final prison sentence.
According to the information received, following the freezing of his bank accounts due to the issuance of an arrest order, Mr. Faraji went to a bank to follow up on the matter, where he was arrested by security forces.
Mr. Faraji had previously been sentenced by the Tekab Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Hazrati, to one year and two months of discretionary imprisonment on charges of “propaganda against the system” and “insulting Khamenei.”
Farshad Faraji had earlier been arrested on 19 May 2025 by security forces at his private residence without the presentation of any judicial warrant and with the use of force. During the raid, security forces searched his home and confiscated his mobile phone, which, despite the passage of several months, has not yet been returned.
It should be noted that after three days of detention, he was temporarily released on bail in the amount of three billion tomans on 21 May 2025. However, even after his release, he was repeatedly summoned and interrogated by security institutions.
