According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at dawn on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 (26 Shahrivar 1404), the death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner, Majid Hosseini from Ilam, was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison, Karaj.
Hana’s sources reported that Majid Hosseini had been arrested six years ago on charges related to “narcotics offenses.” He was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The execution of Majid Hosseini adds to the growing number of executions in Iran, highlighting ongoing concerns regarding the extensive use of the death penalty and the lack of transparency in judicial processes.
