According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization: At dawn on Sunday, August 31, 2025 (9 Shahrivar 1404), the death sentence of a prisoner identified as Akbar Abbaspour, son of Seyf al-Din, originally from Maragheh and residing in Baneh, was carried out in Sanandaj Central Prison.
Based on the information obtained, this prisoner was arrested seven years ago on charges of “premeditated murder” of two brothers and was sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Akbar Abbaspour was the father of one child. It is worth noting that this execution marks the 27th execution of Kurdish citizens in August 2025.
