According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Monday, September 8, 2025, a 19-year-old Kurdish citizen identified as Emad Daroftadeh, a civil engineering student from Orumiyeh University and a resident of Zioukeh village in Piranshahr, was arrested after presenting himself at the Piranshahr Intelligence Office.
Sources informed Hana that on Sunday, September 7, intelligence forces raided his family home in Zioukeh village. Since Emad was not present, his 70-year-old father, Rahman Daroftadeh, was arrested and taken to the Piranshahr Intelligence Office. He was released seven hours later on the condition that his son report himself to the authorities.
It is worth noting that Emad Daroftadeh is the cousin of Kumar Daroftadeh, a 16-year-old teenager who was killed by direct fire from government forces during the “Woman, Life, Freedom” uprising on October 30, 2022.
