The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Saturday, January 10, 2026, Dr. Mohammad Rasouli Mardoukh, 45, a resident of Marivan, was arrested by security forces and subsequently died just hours after his arrest.
According to information received, following his detention he was transferred to Zarivar Hotel in Marivan, where he was subjected to violent interrogation by several security agents. As a result of severe physical abuse, he suffered internal bleeding and was transferred to Marivan Hospital.
According to an eyewitness, Dr. Mohammad Rasouli Mardoukh died approximately three hours after being taken to the hospital due to the severity of his injuries and heavy internal bleeding.
