Hana: On Thursday, December 12, 2024, Diako Azizi, a resident of Bab Khaledabad village in Oshnavieh County, turned himself in to the local prison to serve his 16-month prison sentence.
Diako Azizi was previously sentenced to 16 months in prison by Branch 101 of the Oshnavieh Criminal Court 2, presided over by Judge Ansari, on charges of collaboration and communication with one of the “Kurdistan opposition parties to the Iranian government.” The verdict was officially communicated to this Kurdish citizen on October 29, 2024.
Diako Azizi had been arrested by security forces on September 4, 2024, without being presented with judicial documents. After completing the interrogation process, he was temporarily released from prison on bail.
