Hana: On Monday, August 18, 2025, a court hearing on the charges against Mousa Omidi, a political activist and head of the United Kurdish Front in Ilam, was held at the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court in the city.
According to received reports, during the session, he faced charges including “propaganda against the regime and spreading false information,” which he denied in his defense.
Earlier reports indicate that on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, Mousa Omidi was summoned to Branch Seven of the Ilam Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office on charges of “spreading false information and propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Previously, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, security forces raided Omidi’s home without presenting any judicial warrant and arrested him. During the raid, the security forces confiscated some of his personal belongings, including his mobile phone, laptop, and several books.
It is also worth noting that in March 2023, Mousa Omidi had been summoned to the Ilam Prosecutor’s Office on charges of “propaganda in favor of groups or organizations opposing the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
