ATTENTION
Based on exclusive information obtained by the campaign, it is unfortunate to report that four Kurdish political prisoners, namely Mohsen Mazloum, Mohammad Faramarzi, Vafa Azarbar, and Pezhman Fatehi have been sentenced to death in a short formal trial. Over a period of a year and a half, these four people endured immense pressure, persecution, and torture. They lived in complete isolation, with their plight largely ignored by the media, and the government did not take responsibility for their situation. This cruel and unlawful sentence was pronounced by an incompetent court, while they were held in a location other than a prison. They were denied fundamental rights such as a fair trial, access to case information, the ability to choose their lawyer, the right to meet with their families, and other essential rights typically granted to prisoners and the accused.
The entire process from arrest, investigation, and trial leading up to the verdict was conducted in a secretive, non-transparent, and expeditious manner, raising concerns that the execution process may follow a similar pattern. Therefore, we urge all individuals who value freedom, responsibility, and justice, including human rights and civil rights activists, impartial media and journalists, human rights organizations, and international institutions, to oppose the issuance of this unjust and inhumane sentence actively and promptly. Let us not remain neutral in the face of this situation, and to safeguard the lives of these four people, we implore everyone to mobilize their practical and feasible endeavors. With the support and collaboration of all of you dear ones, we hold hope that we can prevent our loved ones from falling victim to further injustices and halt the repetition of, yet another crime committed by the Islamic Republic.
