The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Thursday, 12 February 2026, Avin Zarei, a women’s rights activist from Sanandaj, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to received information, Ms. Zarei’s arrest was carried out at her private residence by security forces without any judicial warrant.
It is noteworthy that, as of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for her arrest or the charges brought against her.
