Based on reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization: four Kurdish citizens from Kermanshah province lost their lives between January 8 and January 11, 2026, during nationwide and popular protests in the province, as a result of direct gunfire by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The identities of the deceased have been confirmed as follows:
• Hassan Falahi, a follower of the Yarsan faith, from Sarailan Toh-Khaki village, Kermanshah province
• Mohammad Mahdi Badri, from Kermanshah
• Elham Zeynali, from Kermanshah
• Reza Darvishi, from Eslamabad-e Gharb County, Kermanshah province
According to the received information, on the evening of Friday, January 9, 2026, Hassan Fallahi was shot in the back of the head by repressive forces during popular protests in the Elahieh neighborhood of Kermanshah and died.
On the same day, Mohammad Mahdi Badri was also killed by direct gunfire from security forces during protests on Taq-Bostan Boulevard in Kermanshah.
Reza Darvishi, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, near Imam Hossein Mosque in Eslamabad-e Gharb County, was initially injured by a shotgun, then killed by repressive forces with an assault rifle shot to the heart.
Elham Zeynali, also on Thursday, January 8, 2026, was severely injured by direct gunfire from repressive forces to the lower back. After being transferred to the hospital and undergoing surgery, she succumbed to her injuries.
