Based on information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Friday, April 11, 2025, Safa Aeli, the uncle of Jina Amini, was arrested by agents of the Intelligence Department in the city of Saqqez.

According to Hana’s sources, Safa Aeli was detained by security forces on one of Saqqez’s streets without the presentation of any judicial warrant. A few hours after his arrest, he made a brief phone call to his family, informing them that he had been transferred to Saqqez Prison to begin serving his 10-month prison sentence.
