According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Friday, 9 January 2026, a 65-year-old woman identified as Atiyeh Golchini, a resident of Sanandaj, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
This arrest has taken place amid recent days of widespread internet shutdowns and disruptions, during which numerous reports have emerged of the arrest of Kurdish citizens in various cities. Many of these arrests have been carried out without providing clear explanations to the families, raising serious concerns about the legal status and physical well-being of those detained.
In this context, the Hana Human Rights Organization is actively following up to verify the identities of the detainees and publish their names, and calls on the responsible authorities to provide transparent answers regarding the fate and current condition of those arrested.
