Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Armin Pirani, from Abdanan in illam Province, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to Hana’s sources, Mr. Pirani was detained during the 40th-day memorial ceremony for Alireza Seydi, one of those killed during the January protests.
As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reason for his arrest or his place of detention.
