According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Monday, 9 February 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as “Anvar Chopani,” 36 years old, from the village of Khankandi, a suburb of Miandoab, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to the information received, Mr. Chopani was arrested by security forces without the presentation of any judicial warrant and with the use of violence.
It should be noted that, at the time of publication of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against this Kurdish citizen.
