Arsalan Ghahramani, 26 years old, son of Shahgol and Jalal, from Kani Sefid (Charmo) village, a subsidiary of Divandareh County, lost his life on Thursday, 8 January 2026, during popular protests in Tehran after being directly shot with live ammunition by regime security forces.
A source close to Arsalan Ghahramani’s family told Hana Human Rights Organization that following his death, security institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran forced the family to sign a written pledge stating that their son had been killed by “terrorists.”
The source also stated that Arsalan Ghahramani’s body was handed over to his family in exchange for a payment of 500 million tomans.
