According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Sunday, November 2, 2025, a citizen identified as Amjad Salehzadeh, 38 years old and from Saqqez County in Kurdistan Province, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
Hana sources reported that Mr. Salehzadeh’s arrest was carried out by security forces without presenting any judicial documents and at his workplace in Saqqez County.
Amjad Salehzadeh had previously been arrested on January 22, 2025 by security forces and transferred to the Shahramfar detention center in Sanandaj for interrogation. After completing the interrogation, he was transferred to Saqqez Prison and was eventually temporarily released on May 24, 2025 upon posting a bail of 250 million tomans.
In April 2024, Mr. Salehzadeh was sentenced by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Saqqez, headed by Judge Javad Mostafaei, to three months of corrective imprisonment on charges of “propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran.” His sentence was later converted to a fine of 160 million tomans, which was enforced.
It is also noteworthy that Amjad Salehzadeh was previously arrested by the Saqqez Intelligence Office on March 17, 2023 and was temporarily released after one day upon posting bail.
