Amir Ali Heidari Jafarabadi 17 lost his life in Kermanshah after being directly shot by government forces

The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that Amir Ali Heidari Jafarabadi, 17, from Kermanshah, was killed during the protests on Thursday, January 8, 2026, in the city.

According to information received by Hana, on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, Amir Ali Heidari Jafarabadi was fatally shot in Kashan Street, Elahiyeh neighborhood, Kermanshah, by government forces using live ammunition (Kalashnikov).

Following the killing of this teenager, the government forces abducted his body and subsequently returned it to the family only after an illegal demand for a large sum of money (reported to be around one billion tomans).

The Hana Human Rights Organization condemns the use of live ammunition against protesters, especially children and adolescents, considers this a grave violation of human rights, and emphasizes the necessity of independent, transparent, and impartial investigations as well as holding all perpetrators and responsible officials accountable.
