Ali Fahim the fourth defendant in the case regarding the arson attack on the Kaveh Basij Base has been executed

Mizan News Agency, affiliated with the judiciary, has reported the execution of Ali Fahim, an individual detained during the January protests and the fourth defendant in the case involving the arson of the Kaveh Basij Base. Previously, the execution sentences of Amir Hossein Hatami, Mohammad Amin Biglari, and Shahin Vahed-Parast had also been carried out in connection with this case.
While the official narrative accuses these individuals of setting fire to the Basij base, defense attorneys have presented a different account based on existing footage. The videos allegedly show plainclothes officers ushering people into the building and setting the premises on fire after locking the doors.

Hana views this process as a clear example of the use of the death penalty as a tool for repression and social intimidation. The continued execution of protesters signifies an escalation in the policy of violent elimination of dissidents and poses a grave threat to the right to life and the principles of fair trial.
