Ali Allahveisi, a civil activist from Sanandaj, was summoned to the Intelligence Office

Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization: On Monday, January 29, 2025, Ali Allahveisi, a civil activist, former political prisoner, and resident of Sanandaj, was summoned to the city’s Intelligence Office and interrogated.

According to Hana’s sources, Mr. Allahveisi was summoned and interrogated by the Sanandaj Intelligence Office in connection with the strike by shopkeepers and merchants in various cities of Kurdistan, which was held in protest against the death sentences issued for “Vrisheh Moradi” and “Pakhshan Azizi.” He was also threatened during the interrogation.

Previously, Ali Allahveisi was sentenced by Branch 1 of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge “Mostafa Azizi,” to one year of imprisonment for “participation in the 2022 protests” and six months of imprisonment for “propaganda against the regime.”

It is noteworthy that on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, a court session to address the charges against this civil activist was held at Branch 1 of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court. On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the court’s ruling was officially communicated to him.

Earlier, on July 15, 2024, Mr. Allahveisi was arrested by Intelligence Office forces and transferred to their detention center in Sanandaj for interrogation. He was eventually released temporarily on August 15, 2024, after posting a bail of 5 billion Iranian rials (500 million tomans).
