The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Saturday, October 11, 2025, a 27-year-old Kurdish citizen identified as Afshin Ebrahimi, son of Rasoul and a resident of Mahabad, was arrested after being summoned by the Intelligence Office of this city and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to Hana’s sources, Mr. Ebrahimi was detained after receiving a phone summons from the Mahabad Intelligence Office and appearing at the agency.
The same sources reported that following his arrest, security forces confiscated his mobile phone and gained access to his personal social media accounts.
As of the time of this report, no information has been made available regarding the reasons for his arrest or his current whereabouts.
