Abdanan / Exile of Ahmad Alizadeh, Union and Cultural Activist, to Baluchistan

According to reports from Hana Human Rights Organization colleagues, Ahmad Alizadeh, a well-known teacher, cultural, and civil activist from Abdanan, Ilam Province, who was sentenced to imprisonment, dismissal from service, and exile following the 2022 protests, has now been sent into forced exile.

After serving one-third of his 27-month prison sentence and enduring five months of house arrest with an electronic ankle monitor, he has now been transferred to the city of Fanouj in Sistan and Baluchistan Province to serve his two-year exile.

It is worth noting that Ahmad Alizadeh was arrested on September 27, 2022, by security forces. Following an unfair trial, he was officially detained on January 7, 2023, to begin serving his prison sentence.
