According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Monday, October 27, 2025, a construction worker identified as “Yazdan Shirbandi” from Goharabad village, Mahidasht County, lost his life while working in the Ta’avon neighborhood of Kermanshah after falling from a metal scaffold.
According to the report, the accident occurred during construction work, and the victim died at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
It is worth noting that in recent years, due to the lack of workplace safety and employers’ disregard for occupational health and safety standards, the number of work-related accidents in Kurdistan and other parts of Iran has been increasing. Under international human rights and labor conventions and standards, governments are obligated to ensure the health and safety of workers in their workplaces.
