Hana: A teacher from Sanqor was sentenced to 5 years and 10 months in prison for the crime of writing.
Ali Shamaili, a teacher from Sanqor, says that he was sentenced to five years and 10 months in prison in the Kermanshah Revolution Court "on completely false charges" of propaganda against the regime, insulting the leader, and inciting rebellion and killing. According to him, this is despite the fact that his only crime was writing critical texts on social networks.
Ali Shamaili and Kiyomarth Vaezi, two Kurdish teachers from Sanqor, were arrested on Sunday, October 9, 2022, when anti-security forces stormed their home.
The Telegram channel of the Coordinating Council of Teachers' Union Organizations has reported that these two teachers had been "summoned, interrogated and threatened" many times before by the Intelligence Department.
