According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, a political activist identified as Sirous Khazani, a resident of the village of Ta in Kamyaran County and the son of Seyed Morad Khazani, was targeted in an attack by security forces in Sanandaj and lost his life.
Based on available information, Sirous Khazani had previously been active for a period within one of the Kurdish political parties. However, the reason for his return to the city of Sanandaj had not been clarified to Hana at the time of this report.
It should be noted that, as of the time of publication, the body of the deceased has not been handed over to his family.
