Referring to the Iranian government’s obligations toward the fundamental rights of workers, the Hana Human Rights Organization emphasizes that, under international human rights standards and domestic laws, workers are entitled to safe, standard, and humane working conditions.
Protecting the lives and health of workers is a direct responsibility of employers and relevant authorities, and the government is obliged to ensure the effective enforcement of occupational safety and health regulations through proper oversight.
