Ardalan Ghasemi, a 44-year-old citizen from Gilan-e Gharb, was shot and killed on November 10, 2022 during the nationwide protests against the state murder of Jina Amini. He was writing protest slogans on Taq-Bostan Boulevard in Kermanshah when he was shot in the back of the head by repressive armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ardalan was severely injured and transferred to Taleghani Hospital in Kermanshah, where he succumbed to his wounds due to the severity of his injuries.
Security forces later handed over Ardalan Ghasemi’s body to his family in exchange for 16 million tomans and threatened them not to publicize the news of their son’s killing.
His body was buried on November 12, 2022, under tight security measures, in the Taqil Cemetery in Gilan-e Gharb.
