According to published information and reports received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, at least four prisoners who had been sentenced to death in cases related to narcotics were executed at Isfahan Central Prison in the pre dawn hours of August 19, 2026. The identities of three of these prisoners have not yet been confirmed.
One of those executed was Mohsen Darabi, a prisoner from Kermanshah and the father of one child. According to available information, he had previously been detained in connection with narcotics related charges and had been sentenced to death by the Islamic Republic’s judiciary. Prior to the carrying out of the sentences, these prisoners had been transferred from their wards to solitary confinement cells.
As of the time of this report’s publication, official authorities of the Islamic Republic had not announced the carrying out of these sentences, and no further details regarding the identities of the other individuals executed or their cases had been released.
