According to information received by HANA Human Rights Organization, Kazhal Rahmani, who was arrested on June 6, 2026 along with her husband Issa Faizi and her brother Danial Rahmani by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence, has gone on hunger strike in solitary confinement at Sanandaj Juvenile Detention Center in protest against the arrest of herself and her family members.
Meanwhile, several days after the arrest of Issa Faizi and Danial Rahmani, security agencies continue to withhold information about their whereabouts and condition. All three Kurdish citizens have been denied access to a lawyer and family visits since the time of their arrest.
HANA Human Rights Organization, expressing concern over the continued detention, solitary confinement, lack of information about the detainees, and their deprivation of legal rights, calls on the responsible authorities to immediately provide clarity on the situation of these three citizens and to fully respect their rights in accordance with domestic law and international human rights standards.
