According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, Seyyed Rahman Hosseini, a 58-year-old citizen and former political prisoner from Piranshahr, has been temporarily released from prison after posting bail.
Seyyed Rahman Hosseini was arrested by security forces in Piranshahr county on June 20, 2025, and was transferred to prison following his interrogation and preliminary investigative proceedings. Notably, Ahmad Mam-Sharifi was also arrested alongside him at the same time.
On Thursday, November 20, 2025, this citizen was sentenced to three years and three months in prison by the Piranshahr Revolutionary Court on charges of “propaganda against the Islamic Republic.”
Mr. Hosseini has a prior history of arrest and serving prison time, dating back to 2005.
