According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Sunday, 8 February 2026, security forces raided the Kurdistan Café, Sarab branch, in Qorveh. During the raid, they caused disruption and damage inside the establishment, forced the present customers out through threats and abusive behavior, and arrested “Ali Bagheri,” the owner of the café.
According to an informed source, later that same night, the security forces visited Mr. Bagheri’s residence, searched and inspected his home without presenting any judicial warrant.
The source further stated that his wife, identified as “Sakineh,” was beaten and sprayed with pepper spray, resulting in injuries and unconsciousness; she was subsequently taken to medical centers by emergency services.
It is worth noting that, as of the publication of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest or the charges brought against this Kurdish citizen.
