After 32 days since the arrest of Akam Zandi, an 18-year-old young man from Sanandaj, there is still no clear information available regarding his health condition or place of detention.
According to information received by Hana Human Rights Organization, Akam Zandi was arrested on the evening of 9 January 2026, during a raid by security forces on his family home, and according to initial reports, was transferred to the Shahramfar detention center.
It should be noted that despite continuous follow-ups by the Zandi family over the past month, security authorities have so far refused to provide transparent information about his fate, health status, or the charges brought against this Kurdish citizen.
