Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a 22-year-old Kurdish citizen named Amir Reza Kermajani, from Kermanshah Province, was killed in Fardis, Karaj, during public protests. He succumbed to gunshot wounds inflicted by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to reports, his body was buried on January 12, 2026.
