According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization: On Thursday, January 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen from Divandareh was killed by multiple direct shots fired by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s repressive forces during popular protests in Tehran.
Hana Human Rights Organization has identified this Kurdish citizen as Mehdi Rahmati. He was married, a father of two, originally from “Sarab Qarah Khan” village in Divandareh, and a resident of Tehran.
