According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, more than 26 days have passed since the arrest of two Kurdish citizens, Nima Khouraki, 18 years old from Abdanan, and Meraj Shirkhani, 30 years old from illam Province, by security forces. However, no information is available regarding their fate, physical condition, or place of detention.
Sources informed Hana that the arrest of these two Kurdish citizens took place on Thursday, January 8, 2026 and Friday, January 9, 2026, without the presentation of any judicial warrant and by security forces.
It should be noted that since the time of their arrest, the families of these two citizens have received no information about their fate or place of detention, which has led to serious and growing concern among their families and relatives.
