The Hana Human Rights Organization has reported that on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Faramarz Golestani, a Kurdish citizen from Nahavand, lost his life during popular protests in Tehran after being shot with live ammunition by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Hana’s sources, his body was buried a few days later in Firouzan, Nahavand.
