Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, a citizen identified as Sediq Yousefpour, from Saqqez, a former political prisoner and a member of the “Halu” mountaineering group in Saqqez, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to received information, security forces arrested this Kurdish citizen without presenting any judicial warrant and subsequently searched his personal residence.
It should be noted that, as of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, his place of detention, or his current condition.
