January protests: Ebrahim Ahmadpourian a Kurdish citizen was killed by gunfire from the repressive forces in Tehran

Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen named Ebrahim Ahmadpourian, son of Omar and Khadijeh, from the village of “Sheikhla” in Saqqez County and residing in Tehran, was killed by direct gunfire from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during popular protests in Tehran.

According to received reports, Ebrahim Ahmadpourian was shot and killed by the security forces during the January protests in front of his child.

It should be noted that he was married and the father of two children.
