Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Jaber Abdi, from Eslamabad-e Gharb, was killed after being directly shot by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during popular protests in the city.
According to received reports, his body was buried on January 11, 2026.
