Hana: The death sentence of four prisoners charged with drug was carried out in the morning of April 10, 2021 in Urmia Central Prison.
According to informed sources, at dawn on April 10, 2021, the death sentence of four prisoners who were detained on drug-related charges in Urmia Central Prison was carried out.
The names of these prisoners are as follows:
1. Mahmoud Bayzid from Section 15
2. Ali Mohammadzadeh from Section 14
3. Arshad Heydari from Section 14
4. Hamid Najmi from Section 14
The news of this execution has not been announced in the media affiliated with the judiciary and the government until now.
The Jawaneha website reported on Thursday that two prisoners had been transferred for execution. Also, on April 3, the news of the transfer of eight other prisoners to the same prison to serve their sentences was published.
The executions came as government officials themselves acknowledged that executions for drugs not only did not cure pain but also had the opposite effect.
