Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on the afternoon of Sunday, 14 December 2025 (23 Azar 1404), Omid Bagheri, a 37-year-old photographer, civil and environmental activist from Islamabad-e Gharb (Shabad) in Kermanshah Province, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to Hana sources, Mr. Bagheri was arbitrarily arrested by security forces along the Kermanshah–Paveh road without the presentation of any judicial warrant. To date, no information is available regarding his condition or place of detention.
It should be noted that Omid Bagheri had previously been arrested for participating in Nowruz 1403 celebrations and for photographing cultural ceremonies.
