As part of the ongoing wave of arrests in Mahabad, a Kurdish citizen from the city was detained by Intelligence Ministry forces.
The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, a 21-year-old citizen identified as Akam Sheikha Marsha, from Qaraqeshlaq village in the Central District of Mahabad, was arrested by security forces.
According to Hana’s sources, Mr. Sheikha Marsha was transferred to one of Orumiyeh’s detention centers following his arrest.
It is noteworthy that, at the time of this report, the reason for the arrest of this Kurdish citizen remains unknown.
