Mohammad Sohrabi has been temporarily released after 11 months of detention in Naqadeh Prison

According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, Mohammad Sohrabi, 32, from Piranshahr, was temporarily released from Naqadeh Central Prison after 11 months in detention, upon posting a bail of 1.5 billion tomans pending the completion of his legal proceedings.

According to the reports, Mr. Sohrabi had been arrested by security forces at his workplace on Monday, 21 January 2025, without the presentation of any judicial warrant.

It is worth noting that this Kurdish citizen had previously been arrested during the Jina(Mahsa) uprising and was later sentenced by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to 16 months in prison and one year of internal exile.
