According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, a woman identified as Sheyda Azizi, from the Sanandaj city, who had previously been arrested by security forces, has been sentenced by Branch 1 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of the city to three years of ta’zir imprisonment on the charge of “acting against national security through membership in one of the Kurdish parties in Iran.”
According to an informed source, Sheyda Azizi is currently held in the women’s ward of the Sanandaj Juvenile Rehabilitation Center.
It is worth noting that Sheyda Azizi was arrested in Sanandaj during the events related to the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, and after several weeks of interrogation at the Sanandaj Intelligence Detention Center, she was transferred to the women’s ward of the city’s Juvenile Rehabilitation Center.
