The number of arrests of Kurdish citizens on security grounds rose to 86 in January

On Sunday, January 24, two citizens were arrested in Sanandaj and one in Saqez.

The news sources of the International Network of Iranian Kurdistan Human Rights announced that today, plainclothes forces in the town of Hassanabad, Sanandaj city, arrested two citizens identified as Jamil Ahmadi and Sirvan Amini.
In Saqez, a citizen identified as Babak Babaei was arrested on Saturday, January 23rd.
The fate of these arrests, like dozens of other citizens arrested this month, is unknown.
In January, our news sources reported the identities of 86 Kurdish citizens to the International Network of Iranian Kurdistan Human Rights, who had been detained on security grounds.
