According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, in recent days a Kurdish citizen identified as Farhad Karimi, from Naqadeh, was sentenced by Branch 103 of the city’s Criminal Court II to six months in prison on charges of collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government.
The report states that he must present himself to Naqadeh Prison in the coming days to serve his sentence.
It is worth noting that this Kurdish citizen was arrested on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 by security forces and transferred to a detention facility in Orumiyeh for interrogation, before being moved to Naqadeh Prison. He was eventually released on bail on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
