According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization, more than 37 days have passed since the arbitrary and illegal detention of Ramin Gorgani, a 34-year-old Kurdish citizen from Kamyaran, in the Sanandaj Intelligence Department detention center.
Hana has learned that over the past 10 days, he has been denied the right to make phone calls to his family, causing serious concern for his relatives.
Ramin Gorgani was arrested on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in one of the streets of Kamyaran by security forces without a judicial warrant and transferred to the city’s Intelligence Department detention center.
He had previously been arrested on March 5, 2024 and released after a few weeks on bail. Afterwards, the Kamyaran Revolutionary Court sentenced him to six months of imprisonment on charges of “propaganda against the regime,” which was later converted into a fine.
Hana Human Rights Organization, expressing concern over the unclear status and pressures faced by this Kurdish citizen, calls for immediate clarification by the relevant authorities and full respect for the legal rights of detainees in accordance with Iran’s domestic laws and international obligations.
