According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization: Arian Rostami, a native of Sarpol-e Zahab in Kermanshah Province, was sentenced by Branch One of the Qasr-e Shirin Revolutionary Court, headed by Judge Nariman Shafiei, to five years of imprisonment on charges of “membership in opposition groups in the country.”
Hana sources reported that the judicial authority relied solely on a report provided by the Qasr-e Shirin branch of the IRGC Intelligence Organization in issuing the sentence against this citizen.
According to received reports, the verdict against Mr. Rostami was delivered to him in person on September 6, 2025, and according to the notification, he has 20 days from the date of delivery to appeal the verdict at the Kermanshah Provincial Court of Appeal.
It is worth noting that Arian Rostami was previously a member of one of the Kurdish opposition parties to the Iranian government and had recently returned to Iran.
