Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that Rabin Gorani, an environmental activist who was severely injured while helping extinguish deliberate wildfires in the forests of Mariwan (Hanjiran area), is currently in critical condition.
According to information received by Hana, following his injury, he was first transferred to Mariwan Hospital; however, due to the deterioration of his respiratory condition, he was later moved to Towhid Hospital in Sanandaj.
A reliable source told Hana Human Rights Organization that Gorani is currently in the ICU Ward No. 1 of Towhid Hospital in Sanandaj, under intensive medical care.
It should be noted that in recent years, the forests of Mariwan and its surrounding areas have repeatedly witnessed deliberate wildfires, during which several environmental activists and volunteer citizens have either lost their lives or been injured while trying to contain the fires.
