According to reports received, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Tina Deljou, a civil activist and women’s rights defender, was sentenced by Branch 3 of the Revolutionary Court of Rasht to one year in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime.” The verdict has recently been formally communicated to her.
It is worth noting that on January 2, 2025, Ms. Deljou had been arrested to serve a previous seven-month prison sentence in connection with another case and was transferred to Lakan Prison in Rasht. She was released in mid-August 2025 after completing that sentence.
Tina Deljou, a university lecturer and resident of Gilan, is a civil activist and women’s rights defender who has been arrested and convicted several times in connection with her civic activities.
