According to received reports, a political activist named Mokhtar Palani Jafi is facing the risk of deportation.
Mokhtar Palani Jafi, son of Aziz, was born in 1980 in Sarpol-e Zahab, Kermanshah Province. He sought asylum in Finland on October 7, 2015.
The report states that in 2017, his initial asylum application was rejected, and despite repeated follow-ups, he was ultimately unable to obtain a positive response from the Finnish authorities. On July 30, 2025, he was arrested and transferred to the Metsälä detention center in Helsinki in preparation for deportation.
